All You Need to Know About Wedding Tents

Weddings are elegant, gorgeous and necessary for most outdoor events. The perfect tent will protect you and your guests form unexpected weather conditions while giving you a stylish backdrop for your reception or ceremony.
Here is everything you need to know about wedding tents:
Determine if you want a tent
The decision to rent a tent will depend on the season and the location of the venue. If you are getting married in a place with unpredictable weather conditions, the best thing to do is to rent a tent in case it decides to rain.
The extra rental costs may not be received well by some couples who would like to wed in the sunshine, however, it is important to have a backup plan. You surely don’t want to enjoy your wedding amidst a heavy downpour and heavy winds.
There are tent vendors who offer rain plans who give couples discounts, but only to those who use tent if inclement weather needs it.
 Checkout the permits
Before you choose a wedding tent, you should take a keen look at the policy of the rental venue. Certain locations such as farms and private estates may not permit tents on their premises. You should also try and find out what is placed underground at the venue because if you stake tents it can tamper with irrigation or sprinkler systems.

 Choose a tent
There are three styles of tents: pole tents, tension tents, and frame tents.
Pole tents
This is the most common style of tents and the cheapest for that matter, portable, lightweight, and also easy to install. The pole tents come with small peaks at the center. They have a downward sloping appearance, because of the high poles at the center of the tent as well as shorter poles on the outside. The poles have to be staked into the ground. However, you cannot use the tent on gravel or concrete.
Tension tents
This type of tent comes with large poles in the center. This makes the roof sloped and the peaks high. The shape of the tent is as a results of the tension put on the fabrics and tie downs, and because the tensions tents have high ceilings, the interior feels open and spacious. The best thing about this tent is that they holds up in bad weather condition and against wind.
Frame tents
Frame tents depend on the metal frame and not the interior poles to hold the canopy in place. They are perfect for smaller spaces, because they don’t need additional clearance for stakes and ropes, and you can erect in most surfaces. However, these tents are very expensive, heavier and difficult to install than other types of tent.
Find a vendor
It is important to find a vendor as early as you can, but you should do this once you secure your venue. This is because, at that time, other couples will be looking for tents. You can contact various rental companies to make comparison for styles as well as quotes.
